Dr. Jackie Schwartz has been practicing Optometry in South Florida since 1986.  She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Florida and then went on to attend Southern College of Optometry where she graduated with honors in her clinical studies. She completed her externship program at the prestigious contact lens practice of Farkas, Farkas, and Kaslow.

Born and raised in New York, Dr. Schwartz relocated to South Florida in 1986 and joined a multi-specialty ophthalmology practice in Aventura, specializing in contact lenses.  During her nine years there she served on the board of the Broward County Optometric Association and was an Adjunct Professor at Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry.

In 1995 Dr. Schwartz opened a private family practice in Cooper City. Comprehensive primary care optometry is the main focus of her practice with special interests in contact lenses, eye diseases, and co-management of glaucoma, laser vision correction and the newest  premium IOL’s.  She brings this experience with her as the newest team member of Eye Surgeons and Consultants.

Dr. Jackie Schwartz is a renowned expert at improving visual acuity by altering or tweaking the prescriptions for eyeglasses and contact lenses.  Frequently, enhanced vision for specific tasks such as night driving, working on the computer, or reading will result from her adroit clinical skills and 25-year expertise.  Dr. Schwartz welcomes patients seeking second opinions or help with visual acuity endeavors.
